My home for a very long time. The only home Sam has ever known. Today on his last day of 2nd grade, it is also our last day in Chicago as we move on to a new life in Europe. Chicago is more than a city for the Broughtbys - where Ryan and I met, Sam came in to the world, we raised and lost our pets Lucy and Jack, we explored (and changed) careers and made friends. The view of the Willis/Sears Tower from Sam's school is quite different from the corn fields I saw every day leaving school when I was growing up. A sad day but we will see you again Chicago.
For Sam's February school break we went to Morocco. We were looking for warmth and also ready to explore beyond Europe. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency (amazing resort) in Taghazout, a small fishing village that is south of Marrakesh and north of Agadir. More Morocco photos here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/eATCUb6Cc4rRoyLYA February 17: As per usual we opted for a flight that was not ideal so we could save money. It was a later flight with a connection through Casablanca, arriving in Agadir airport close to midnight. Sam slept on the car ride from the airport to the hotel but perked up when we found out we had been upgraded to a room with an ocean view (thanks to friend Jasper!!). Just discovered your blog. Love it! I hope you continue to explore. We're going to London, Scotland and Norway end of June on a cruise. After this past year, we need a getaway. Please give Sam a hug from his Aunt Suz.❤️
